92 million tons of textiles are added to landfills every year. that is the equivalent to a garbage truck full of clothes being dumped every second. This is equal to 81.5 pounds per person, per year.

The amount of times a piece of clothing is worn before it is discarded has decreased by 35%, meaning it's only worn 7-10 times in its lifetime. By buying used we are able to extend the active lifespan of an article of clothing, keeping it out of the landfill.

According to ThreadUp, if each consumer replaced one purchase of a new clothing item with a preowned one, it could lower carbon emissions by 2 billion pounds every year.

Not all brands are the same. We only carry specialty brands known for their durability and quality in the outdoor industry.

We take detailed pictures of all of our 2nd life and consignment gear to show the quality and wear of the products. You can always ask for additional pictures or reach out with any questions or concerns you might have to ensure you're confident in your purchases.

All of our items sold are clean and ready to be worn off the rack. We use NikWax Tech Wash or other technical gear cleaning products when needed. We always inspect every item for visible damage or wear that could affect the performance of the products. Every item will be evaluated and fall into one of the below grades:

• LIKE NEW - Original tags still on item
• EXCELLENT - Clean with no visible wear, fading, or usage
• GREAT - Clean with slight visible wear or fading that does not affect performance
• GOOD - Clean with possible wear or repairs that do not affect performance or function (We DO NOT accept most products in GOOD condition with an exception on vintage or specialty items)

Due to the way products are made, it is impossible to tell if a product's waterproofing or insulation is still functioning properly. Despite checking seams, lamination, or baffles, it's not always possible to tell. That is why we will never certify any insulated or waterproofing equipment as "excellent" unless it comes new with tags.

Once you know your brand and item is on the approved list, please clean and inspect your products as if you were going to give it to your friend. Please make sure there are:

• no odors or stains
• no rips or tears
• no pilling or fading
• no damaged or missing parts

We only accept items in good to excellent condition.

Drop off your equipment at our store so the staff can evaluate it and provide you with a fair quote based on the condition of the product, the current market, and decades of experience using, buying, and selling outdoor clothing and gear.

We will try to provide you with a quote as quickly as possible.

If we both accept the quote, your products will go on sale in store and online for 90 days.

If we do not agree on a quote or if your products are not accepted, you will have 14 days to come and pick them back up. If you do not pick up your products within the 14 days, your products will be donated to charity.

You will be provided with a personal account where you can log in and track the status of your products and know when they're sold.

We DO NOT BUY ITEMS or payout same day. All payouts are calculated and distributed on the 1st of the month. We payout using PayPal or Venmo.

We do not accept returns or exchanges on any used Wander Longer or consignment items.

You can pick up your unsold equipment at anytime. All unsold equipment must be picked up within 7 days of the 120 day mark. Only the account holder or approved contacts can pick up unsold equipment.
