Our Story

“Between every two pine trees there is a door leading to a new way of life.” - J. M.

What the heck were we thinking?

We love our jobs and have spent decades working in all aspects of the outdoor retail industry. However, the problem we've always had is that the message regarding outdoor equipment designed for women is to “Shrink it and pink it.”  But that is slowly starting to change. Women's participation rates are climbing rapidly and there are more outdoor brands designing products to meet their needs than ever before.

Still, more needs to be done. So, we decided to set off on our own and create Wanderer’s Outpost. Our single mission is to provide an inclusive space for women of all backgrounds to come together and share in their passion for the outdoors. Our expert staff and carefully curated product lines provide the tools and services while our meeting spaces and clinics present the knowledge and support for everyone to learn and grow together.

Leave No Trace

From the very beginning, we decided to create the smallest footprint on the environment that we could. That is why our shipping department only uses recyclable and biodegradable packaging, our branded clothing is made with recycled fabrics and we've even looked at the smallest details like our clothing hang tags that can be planted and turn into wildflowers. We are constantly working to operate as environmentally conscious as possible and appreciate any feedback or ideas on how we can improve.

Give Back to Others

We will be creating several avenues for our company and our customers to give back to their communities. We are a 1% for the Planet member and have multiple programs in place designed to help others and protect the lands we love. The team at Wanderer's Outpost has spent a lifetime working in the outdoor industry. This is our love, our life, our passion, and we promise to do our best to help you be your best, every day. Thank you for stopping by and we hope to see you out on the trail someday soon!.
