How to pick the right size hiking boot
Unless you're headed out for weeks at a time and carrying 50+ pounds in your pack, the need for big, clunky hiking boots is over. Most companies provide incredibly light but still super supportive alternatives that will help you travel farther, faster and in greater comfort.
Don't forget to try walking down a slope when trying on boots. If your boot is too big your foot will slip out of the pocket, shoving your toes into the front. Also, if your heel is moving up and down inside the boot, you're pretty much guaranteed to get a blister. Remember to try on your boots with the socks you will be hiking in. And if you need a new pair of socks, we got you covered.
European to US Size Charts
Not all sizes are created equal. In fact, there are more European sizes than US sizes to provide a more accurate fit.
1 Euro whole size = 6.6 mm = 0.26 inches
1 US whole size = 8.4 mm = 0.33 inches
